About

Darren “DeJaWu” Wu started photographing in the mid-1980’s using his father’s Pentax Spotmatic with a 55mm f2 lens. Since then, Darren has experience ranging from B&W and colour 35mm film, 35mm and 120 transparency, to a range of half-frame (APS-C) and full-frame digital SLRs with a few point-and-shoot cameras of film and digital flavour thrown in for good measure.

An engineer by training, photography combines his love of the technical/precise with the creative photographic process.

His photography has grown and evolved over the years and most recently exemplified by travel and landscape photography. This has expanded, literally, into panoramic photography. Work related travel and holidays have provided opportunities to photograph in locations around the world.

The digitally captured images are available in electronic and print format through this website, or by contacting Darren.

Images are printed on high quality archival standard paper with the long life inks ensuring display permanence exceeding traditional film based prints. Canvases are similarly prepared to a high standard with longevity in mind using the finest materials unlike your typical electronics or stationery store canvas prints.

Over time, Darren’s earlier, film-based images will be carefully scanned and prepared for the same high quality of digital printing. Contact Darren if there are any specific images that are of interest.

For fun, Darren also served as the Editor of the BMW Drivers Club of NSW magazine, Torque of the Town where you’ll see some of his photography as part of that creative endeavour.

Darren is available for commissions and/or event photography. Contact Darren regarding any request.
